News of Recently Completed Work

Scottish Natural Heritage, Battleby – Phase 1
These works comprised facilitating works to enable a larger project to follow on. They involved the complete refurbishment of an existing stonework house and low level building to create high amenity office space and a separate document storage facility. Electrical and mechanical works involved the installation of a 30Kw ground source heat pump fed by 5No 50M deep ground loops bored in solid rock in the adjacent grounds. Hot water was provided both by the heat pump and by solar panels on the refurbished building. The whole facility was controlled by a sophisticated building services management control system provided by our subcontractor East Coast Controls Ltd. The project was valued at £250,000.

Branston Welfare Facility
Construction of new two storey extension to provide welfare facilities comprising concrete floor, concrete block walls, metal sheet clad timber roof, beam and block floor and associated plumbing, heating, electrical and finishing trades. Drainage work and external works.


Whitdale Early Years Centre – New Covered Play Space, Whitburn
The work comprised of the excavation of pit foundations for the new timber frame with timber laminated roof beams, self supporting translucent roof system, “Playtop” floor, new timber framed and lined external walls, timber windows and doors, new internal metal ramp, internal and external finishes and electrical services complete.


Diageo – Warehouse Fire Main Replacement – Leven
Carried out in conjunction with our sister company Realm Construction Ltd. This work involved the replacement of existing fire water mains and replacement with 280mm diameter HPPE pipework with welded joints to serve the whisky bonds at Leven. Work involved civils, pipework and making connections to fire fighting systems within each warehouse all in an extremely sensitive area. The job has been challenging but enjoyable for our team lead by Tom Cotter, all have enjoyed the aroma of the maturing whisky stored within the warehouse.


Perth & Kinross Council Community Halls/Kitchen Refurbishment
We have recently completed two contracts for Perth & Kinross Council to refurbish various community halls and school kitchens throughout Perth and the surrounding area.


Livingston Village Primary School – Extension
Extension to provide one classroom, store and access corridor. Single storey extension comprising concrete floor and foundations, timber frame and blockwork external walls with render finish, timber roof with proprietary metal roof decking and felt. Mechanical and electrical services including wet underfloor heating insulation.
